Cute Alekhine Nouri of Taguig City, Philippines is the youngest FIDE Master at the age of just 7 years old! He made chess history by being the youngest and possibly the brightest chess player of his time. He made his impressive chess tactics known at the recent 14th ASEAN + Age Group Chess Championships of 2013 in a Standard Competition at the Imperial Mae Ping Hotel in Chiang Mai, Thailand last June 13, 2013.

Alekhine’s dad remarked on his son’s wonderful talent, "Alekhine Nouri got his (outright) Fide Master title at 14th ASEAN + Age Group Chess Championships, making the record of the youngest Fide Master of Philippine Chess, thank you Lord for all the blessing,"

National Chess Federation of the Philippines (NCFP) Chairman/President Prospero Pichay Jr on the other hand was also proud of Alekhine and all Filipino chess players who are making their mark locally and internationally, “Filipino woodpushers have once again shown their excellence in the field of chess.”

To Alekhine, good luck, and may you bring your family and our nation pride and glory in chess! –Tarrasch Knight Chess Club
